Just finished these word banners for the Havanese Rescue, Inc. yearly fundraiser. Two quilts are up for prize-drawing this year. Mom asked if I could somehow make letters out of the quilt block images. Having played around with Photoshop’s masking in the past couple of years, this wasn’t too hard to do. =) Easier than I expected, actually.

Request/shout-out: I’m working on a variety of crafts this summer, including jewelry with “found objects” and experimenting with resin casting. What am I asking for? Well, I’m curious if you’ve got little items lying around that you don’t want (or maybe you want modified?) that I might be able to use. I’m thinking game pieces, barbie shoes, old keys, old music tapes, etc.

Visited both Joann’s and Michaels today to do some shopping with coupons and sales (whee!). Still, it does a serious drain. Whew. Definitely the impetus to get my stuff listed at Etsy.

Items bought: Scrapbook generals (hey the Disney stuff was on sale for once!); finally got number stamps; jewelry findings; epoxy for resin covering and molding! Also, thread and sewing pattern for bags.

Goals for the week:

List minimum of five items on Etsy store.
Learn how to use the sewing machine.
Other things that don’t concern arts & crafts =p

This is totally the book I’ve been waiting for. Years ago I got interested in trying alternative jewelry making after seeing awesome hardware pieces at the Village Bizarre downtown. Totally excited to look through this.

What I need:

Customized stamp to print “Clarity’s Creations.” I mean, I’ve got a stamp already with my name and various alphabet stamps, but I’d like something that I can print in one go.
Number stamps. In all my font stamps, I have no numbers. I’d like to print the year on my creations.

I’m also looking for stamps with cool quotes.

Ideas?
